Traditionally when a student wanted to earn any kind of qualification relating to financial matters they would need to attend a college or university. However, today a student now has the facilities available to them where they can actually do their training online instead. Below we look at some of the things that you should be taking into consideration if you wish to do an online finance course.

The first thing that you should do when looking at any online course is to see if they allow you to try it out before you actually hand over any money. Not only can you see just how the company runs their course but also to see whether you are actually suited to doing your studies this way.

It is vital that before you sign up to any course you look closely at the history of the company that is running it. The more well established the company is then the higher your chances of attaining the right qualification. Today what you will find is that a large number of colleges and universities are now also providing their courses online which is often the preferred choice of many who choose to do their studies online.

If however you choose to go with a company rather than a college or university to do your online course with then the next step is to visit the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website. Here they have a list of all the companies both on and off line that have registered with them. All the online companies offering educational courses today who are registered with BBB are given the Online Reliablity Seal. This immediately tells you that the site is established (has been running for more than a year) and has a good record in relation to satisfied customers.

However if you are someone who rather than just doing a very basic finance course would like to study for a degree it is important that you choose an accredited one. The easiest and quickest way to find a course with the right accreditation is by looking at the universities and colleges which are now offering online courses.

When looking for a good quality online course to do your finance training through you need to check and if they provide you with sufficient support. Some online educational companies do most of their training using online tutorials and there is no chance for interaction between the students and a real life tutor. Therefore if you are someone who will need assistance through out the course aim to go with one that offers you the chance to contact your course instructors directly.

Another thing you may want to look for when it comes to doing your studies online courses then look to see what else they offer beyond the online classroom facilities. If you can find one that has a good online resources and reference library facilities. Also, look for those that offer you study groups and forums where you can meet up and chat to other students who are studying at the same time as you.

The last thing you need to consider when thinking about doing an online finance course is the kind of technical support that the course provider offers. Yes your PC may be reliable but there are going to be times when problems do occur and you need to know that these will be fixed as quickly as the provider can possibly manage. So it is important before you sign up to the course you find out just how quickly their technical support team is able to rectify any problems (no matter their size) and what kind of response they offer to you as the customer.

Without knowing which career you are interested in it is hard to say, but most Jobs ask for IT qualifications - something like the ECDL or an ITQ would be good.

“Well if they wait until they are 24, and their spouse also is, it’s ok to marry. But the primary reason behind is to force some immigrant communities to adopt to a ‘danish lifecycle’”

So no Danish people get married or form long term relationships (which are the same as marriage albiet without the paper) before 24?

    This is just minority bashing.

“: you don’t marry before you have some kind of adult education. ”

Idiotic. Why cant a person be married AND pursue adult education. And why 24 and not 18 or 21? Do white Danes suspend sexual activity or marriage till they are 24 or have complted adult education?

“Of course it it is a problem in some muslim communities. But it’s a problem of their own making.”

No its a non-problem whipped up by bigots of the Danish peopls Party in the far right Danish government

I teach in an inner city school and agree with so much of what you say here. How about this? Send the kids and the parents to school together.

I also teach a college intro class and some of those adult students have kids in the public schools. The adults are lacking skills and education, so how can they possibly impart it to their kids? It’s time to stop blaming teachers. Invite parents to get their education over again, this time when they might actually appreciate it. Sit next to someone else’s kid. Mentor each other and support each other and develop some self-worth and skills. Just a thought…

    Just popped into my mind

I would definitely recommend a correspondence course. They are accredited just like High Schools and have a much higher standing than G.E.D's. Just make sure that the school attended is a nationally accredited school. The better standing and more prestigious, the better it will look of he/she is planning on attending a University. These also, are much less strenuous as they are taken in the comfort of your home at your own pace (within of course the number of months/years given) unlike the G.E.D which requires more vigorous studying and pressure ending in one huge crammed test. The G.E.D however is the quickest way if time is of essence. Send my luck to your friend!!
