There are a lot of people in this country that refuse to consider teaching their children Spanish while they are young. For some reason, they believe teaching children a second language while they are still learning English that language will confuse them and interfere with their ability to properly learn English. Of course, these parents are completely wrong, because teaching children a second language actually benefits them in many ways.

Numerous studies have proven that children who learn Spanish with tools like learn to speak Spanish audio CDs have a distinct advantage over children that only speak their native language. Not only do bilingual children possess superior problem solving skills, they are also more creative. Standardized testing scores provide additional proof. The results for the 2006 SATs showed that the students who scored highest in the Critical Reading sections were those who had spent four or more years studying a foreign language.
