One of the major uncertainties that students hold when commencing a degree online is just how a future work place is likely to see their degree. Will a business have a negative view towards their online degree as being inferior when compared to a conventional bachelors degree?

The manner that most employers perceive online degrees has shifted recently, much for the better of those who are considering undertaking this form of higher education.

It was not long ago when employers viewed online bachelors degrees as being inferior. A reason for this was because it was a new concept. One of the other reasons was that respected institutions had not yet begun adopting their own online bachelor degree programs. Nevertheless, as time has gone on, more major universities have begun offering education programs online and therefore more companies and employers have begun accepting these online degrees as worthwhile and equivalent. This is changing just how employers perceive online degrees.

In the modern world, support workers who can solve problems with computers and networks, and give daily advice to users, are vital in every part of the workplace. Industry’s need for more qualified personnel multiplies, as we become significantly more beholden to PC’s in the modern world.

So, which questions do we need to ask to take in the understanding necessary? Because it’s evident there are a good many fairly great possibilities for us to look at.

So many training providers focus completely on the certification process, and forget what it’s all actually about - which is a commercial career or job. You should always begin with the end in mind - don’t make the journey more important than where you want to get to. Don’t let yourself become part of that group who set off on a track that on the surface appears interesting - and end up with a certification for something they’ll never enjoy.

If your future is in a web design career, you will need to study Adobe Dreamweaver. In order to use Dreamweaver professionally in web design, a full understanding of the full Adobe Web Creative Suite (which includes Flash and Action Script) is in our opinion essential. Having this knowledge will mean, you could subsequently become an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) or Adobe Certified Professional (ACP).

Designing websites is only the start of the necessary skill-set for professional web masters today. You’d be wise to search for training with a range of specialist features, for example PHP, HTML, MySQL, E-Commerce and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation,) in order to know the way to drive traffic, maintain content and operate on database driven sites.

Four separate areas of study make up a full CompTIA A+; you’re seen as A+ competent when you’ve achieved certifications for just two specialist areas. Because of this, the majority of training establishments limit themselves to 2 study areas. In fact it’s necessary to have the training for all four areas as many jobs will demand the skills and knowledge of each specialist area. It isn’t necessary to pass exams in all of them, although it would seem prudent that you take tutorials in all 4 subjects.

Once you start your CompTIA A+, you will learn how to build, fix, repair and work in antistatic conditions. You’ll also cover fault finding and diagnostics, through both hands-on and remote access. Should you want to work towards being responsible for networks of computers, you should add CompTIA Network+ to your A+ course. This qualification will enable you to get a higher paid position. Other ones that might be interesting to you are the networking qualifications from Microsoft, i.e. MCP, MCSA MCSE.
